The old phrase “The church is the only organisation that exists for the good of those who are not yet members” is put into action for the local community in the form of the food pantry. Local families that are struggling to make ends meet can contact the church and be added to the list of people the church loves to help by supplying both perishable and non perishable food on a Saturday afternoon.

The church puts into action the words of Jesus in Matthew 25 where he said “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;” and later follows it by saying “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” Members of the church with a heart for people and/or organisational skills are encouraged to join in serving the local community.
Pantry distribution is given by appointment only, so you would have to call ahead to be placed on the list.
